TOBRUK, Libya 17 Mac – Pemimpin Libya, Muammar Gaddafi berkata, tenteranya akan ‘bertarung habis-habisan’ hari ini ketika Washington menyuarakan hasrat kepada Majlis Keselamatan Pertubuhan Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu (PBB) berhubung penguatkuasaan zon larangan terbang di Libya.

Kenyataan terbaru Gaddafi itu dibuat selepas tenteranya memaksa pemberontak berundur di bahagian barat Libya dan akan menggempur kubu kuat pemberontak di Benghazi, timur negara ini, sebalik seruan gencatan senjata oleh Setiausaha Agung PBB, Ban Ki-moon.

“Pertempuran bermula hari ini (semalam). Esok (hari ini) akan menyaksikan pertempuran sengit di Misrata.

“Bermula malam ini, kamu diseru mengangkat senjata dan esok kita akan bertempur,” katanya kepada sekumpulan golongan muda di Misrata seperti yang dilaporkan televisyen.

Gaddafi turut menyeru penyokongnya supaya tidak ‘membiarkan Misrata jatuh ke tangan kumpulan lelaki yang gila’.

Kelmarin, stesen televisyen Libya melaporkan tentera akan bergerak menuju ke Benghazi dan semalam anak pemimpin tersebut, Seif al-Islam menjangkakan krisis Libya akan berakhir dalam tempoh 48 jam.

Seorang jurucakap pemberontak di Misrata, kira-kira 150 kilometer dari ibu negara Tripoli semalam berkata, pihaknya berjaya mematahkan serangan tentera kerajaan, menyaksikan empat orang terkorban, sementara 10 yang lain cedera.

Saksi mendakwa krisis politik Libya kini merebak di Zintan, bandar pertama di barat Libya yang kini berada dalam genggaman pemberontak.

Saksi di Ajdabiyah pula mendakwa, pertempuran masih tercetus di sana.

Seorang doktor memberitahu AFP melalui telefon, pertempuran masih berlaku semalam di Ajdabiyah yang juga merupakan laluan ke Benghazi. – AFP

Pro-Ghaddafi lancar serangan

BENGHAZI 18 Mac – Pasukan tentera pro pemerintah Libya, Muammar Ghaddafi melancarkan serangan udara di tiga kawasan pinggir bandar Benghazi yang kini dikuasai pemberontak, semalam.

“Kami tidak mendapat maklumat yang tepat mengenai sebarang kerosakan dan kecederaan.

“Serangan tersebut nampaknya seolah-olah satu amaran kepada kami, ia satu cabaran terhadap masyarakat antarabangsa,” kata seorang jurucakap kumpulan pemberontak yang tidak mahu namanya disiarkan. – Reuters
