Switzerland kejutkan Sepanyol di Piala Dunia

DURBAN 16 Jun – Switzerland mengejutkan juara Eropah, Sepanyol pada perlawanan pembukaan mereka di Piala Dunia apabila menang 1-0 dalam perlawanan Kumpulan H.

Gol tunggal oleh Gelson Fernandes pada minit ke-52 sudah cukup untuk menamatkan rekod 12 kali kemenangan Sepanyol dan ia juga adalah kemenangan pertama Switzerland ke atas pasukan itu daripada 19 pertemuan.

Jurulatih Sepanyol Vicente Del Bosque memilih untuk tidak menurunkan Fernando Torres di awal perlawanan tetapi tiada pilihan apabila pemain bintang Liverpool itu dimasukkan, sejam selepas perlawanan berlangsung tetapi gagal memberikan sebarang impak.

Pada perlawanan sebelumnya dalam Kumpulan H, Chile berjaya menundukkan Honduras 1-0. – AFP
