Pesawat tentera Thai bawa pulang mayat nahas bas

KUALA LUMPUR: Mayat 25 pelancong Thai yang terbunuh dalam kemalangan bas di Jalan Cameron Highlands-Simpang Pulai dua hari lalu, dibawa pulang dengan dua pesawat C-130 Tentera Udara Diraja Thailand hari ini.

Kedua-dua pesawat itu berlepas dari Pangkalan TUDM Subang di sini pada 5 petang tadi.

Seorang daripada 10 pelancong Thai yang cedera dalam kejadian itu juga dibawa pulang ke Bangkok menerusi penerbangan itu.

Semua mayat itu dibawa dengan sebuah treler dan sebuah van dari Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun di Ipoh dan tiba di Subang pada 3.30 petang.

Tiga mangsa yang cedera dibawa dengan ambulans ke Bukit Kayu Hitam hari ini untuk dihantar ke Haadyai manakala enam lagi masih menerima rawatan di Ipoh.

Kemalangan terburuk dalam sejarah negara itu turut mengorbankan pemandu bas dan pemandu pelancong, kedua-dua warga Malaysia. – BERNAMA

Dua Pesawat Thailand Bawa Pulang Mangsa Kemalangan Bas

KUALA LUMPUR: Dua buah pesawat C-130 Angkatan Tentera Udara Diraja Thailand dijangka mendarat di Pangkalan Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) Subang di sini, tengah hari Rabu bagi membawa pulang rakyatnegara itu yang terlibat dalam kemalangan ngeri bas di Ipoh pada Isnin.

Setiausaha Pertama di Kedutaan Thailand, Suwit Mangkhala berkata rakyat Thailand sama ada yang terbunuh atau cedera dalam kemalangan di Km15, Jalan Cameron Highlands-Simpang Pulai itu akan dihantar pulang ke tanah air mereka.

“Pesawat itu akan berlepas ke Malaysia kira-kira 8 pagi esok dari Terminal Tentera Udara Don Mueang.

“Ia dijangka tiba pada pukul 12.26 tengah hari dan akan membawa pulang kesemua mereka yang terlibat,” katanya.

Beliau berkata urusan membawa pulang rakyat Thai akan dilakukan secara berperingkat dan dijangka selesai pada hari sama.

Menurutnya kerjasama daripada kerajaan Malaysia dalam usaha membawa pulang mereka ini sangat dialu-alukan dan pihaknya berterima kasih kepada semua pihak yang membantu.

Semalam, sebuah bas yang membawa pelancong warga Thailand terbabas dan terbalik ketika dalam perjalanan menuruni pusat pelancongan Cameron Highlands, mengorbankan 27 orang dan mencederakan 10 yang lain dalam kemalangan jalan raya dipercayai paling buruk dalam sejarah Malaysia. – BERNAMA
